One quick update this week. I started and finished this piece last week. I think it came together pretty nicely, but please let me know what you think. As always, take it easy.
Jump Project
UPDATE: 05/26
Just thought I share this one with everyone too. I finished it today and I think it turned out pretty nicely. It's my first tryign a horse animation, so please let me know what you think! :D
Hey you,
ReplyDeleteThe jump looks really good. Its very fluid and smooth...is he on a trampoline? My only suggestion is to fix the feet so that he is not landing on his heels. Or you could keep the landing but you would have to add a little stumble cuz i think if you landed on your heels you would be off balance a lot.
As an aside i think it would look awesome on this rig if you could add a small black hole for a mouth to show some expression while he is jumping...but i dont know if you can add that in or not.
Keep it up! I cant wait till you start on the horse!
Thanks for stopping by Jess! And yes, he is on a trampoline...I'm glad I could convey that feeling. Looking at the feet now, I agree that they could be better. I'll be sure to take a look at them again soon. As for the idea with showing expression while jumping, I definitely see why you would want to do that, I just don't know if it would enhance the piece, or take away from it...
ReplyDeleteI'll be sure to think about it, and let you know either way :D
Oh, and I started blocking out a gallop today :P
that horse is rockin! sweeeet!
ReplyDeletegood day!
ReplyDeletethe trampoline animation is great! i'm not sure what to crit on it haha. I think maybe the flip in the air might be a bit slow but other than this it looks great.
and onto the horse. I think his back still looks fairly static. Mostly in his shoulders. for somereason if I look at his head i get the illusion of it looping backwards. I'm not sure why that is lol.
Good stuff man, your getting really damned good. the trampoline is really impressive.
